Media and press

At Zócalo Health, we make getting care for our comunidad better. Get same-day doctor visits, wellness services, and your own personal health advocate – all in a single membership.

Our story

Zócalo Health was established following the meeting of our two founders, Erik Cardenas and Mariza Hardin, who had a vision of bringing much needed solutions to family medicines to benefit their community. What formed is a virtual family medicine service designed by Latinos, for Latinos. We are removing barriers to healthcare by offering convenient, transparent and culturally-aligned care to our members.

In predominately Latino zip codes, there is one primary care physician for every five to six thousand residents, which results in Latino communities having disproportionately limited access to primary care. We promote wellness that goes beyond absence of illness and fosters physical, mental, social, and spiritual strength within our families and communities.

We are committed to delivering a new primary care model that blends tradition with innovation, establishing a trusting relationship between providers and patients. Our services include same-day virtual healthcare appointments and navigation assistance for a monthly fee and is available to individuals living in select states. We promote wellness that goes beyond absence of illness and fosters physical, mental, social, and spiritual strength within our families and communities.
