We have some exciting news to share for our familia in California! Zócalo Health has joined forces with Blue Shield of California. This partnership means that all commercial members of Blue Shield of California now have access to all of Zócalo Health’s virtual care services.
This means, if you have a Blue Shield of California commercial plan, you can use your coverage to access Zócalo Health services starting today! You now have access to:
- High-Quality Virtual Care: You can now access virtual primary care services, covering everything from visits for your children to personalized visits for your own needs such as seasonal allergies, colds, or prescription refills.
- Culturally Aligned Care: Ever wish your doctors spoke your language and understood your culture. Well, we do! Zócalo Health is built by Latinos, for Latinos. Our diverse and inclusive provider network and community health workers, known as promotoras de salud, are trained to provide care that respects and understands your unique cultural background.
- Easy Access: You can sign up for your appointments for yourself and your covered family members by visiting the Zócalo Health website and booking an available time slot. We often have same day appointments available! Plus, our care team is available to provide support and answer any questions with just a simple message from your computer or phone.
We invite you to explore this new benefit for Blue Shield of California members and take advantage of the high-quality, culturally sensitive care offered by Zócalo Health.
Follow these simple steps to book your first appointment.
First, go to our blue shield member website www.zocalo.health/blueshieldmembers and select “Get Started”
Next, enter in some basic personal information. If you have a California zip code, you will be prompted to answer “Do you have Blue Shield of California Insurance?”. Select the appropriate response, and then select continue.
In the next step, you will have the option to either book an appointment with one of our doctors for one of our convenient times, or request a call and we can assist you with the scheduling process. If you would like to schedule an appointment yourself, select “Book Online”.
This will bring you to a booking page with our available appointment times. Select the one that is most convenient for you and confirm by selecting the small “Book” icon.
Once you’ve reconfirmed the time slot by selecting “Book”, a Promotor de Salud will reach out to you for your onboarding process. Welcome to la familia!
